Despite all the rain today we had another good day on the Benchil beat with 3 salmon landed and one lost. Ian Muir landed 2 on the fly in the Long shot to 12lb. And Charles landed this 17lber in the Long Shot before lunch .

Another good day on the Benchil beat with two lovely salmon being landed . We had a cracker on the fly from Todds Hole it  was 23lb . There was all so a 16lber caught on the fly from the Long Shot both fish were sea liced .

A great wee day down on the Luncarty Beat, with 3 fish landed. The first one was 9lb and took a fly fished from the boat. Then in the afternoon we landed two fish in 20 minutes on the harl 4lb and 7lb

The One That Got Away

The one that got away . As it happens to us all, Micheal hooked a good fish in Plain Water on the Benchil beat sadly the fish went one way and the salmo came over the boat.

Todds Hole on the Benchil Beat river Tay a great wee bit to ambush some running fish. Yesterday in the Long Shot we seen quite a few grilse running through in the afternoon but sadly no offers. Today on the Pitlochrie beat we had a hold of a salmon but it managed to shake the hook hold.

One of those days today on the Benchil beat 3 fish hooked with only one landed. One of Jock Monteith's clients today hooked two salmon and sadly lost both one just at the net in Plain Water and one in the Long Shot. John Dewar landed a grilse in the Little Shot.
